Japan defender Makino leaves Cologne for loan spell back home
Cologne have announced that they have loaned Japanese defender Tomoaki Makino to J.League side Urawa Red Diamonds.
"With this loan we are giving him an opportunity to get more playing time in the J-League and with the national side, which is important for him," said Cologne sporting director Volker Finke.
The 24 year old has struggled to get in the side following his January 2010 move from Sanfrecce Hiroshima and has made only eight Bundesliga appearances.
