Japan coach Okada warns of improved Uzbekistan

Japan national team coach Takeshi Okada has warned his team that they will face a much-improved Uzbekistan outfit in their next World Cup qualifier.

Although the Uzbeks held Japan to a 1-1 draw at home last time, Okada believes Mirdjalal Kasimov's charges will be far more dangerous on their own soil.

"They have improved from the last time we fought them. There is no doubt it will be a tough match," Okada said.

"They have new players. In particular, (Farhod) Tadjivev made a strong impression. He is tough and has good technique," he pointed out after watching Australia scrape past them on Wednesday night.

."If you feel complacent, it will prove disastrous," he added.
