Japan ace Kagawa looking to stay put at Dortmund

Shinji Kagawa admits he is keen to remain with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

The Japan international is not out of contract until June 2013 but is looking to stay put with the reigning German champions for as long as he can.

"We'll have talks but there is no ultimatum or deadline," said Kagawa after scoring the winner against Mainz on the weekend.

"The atmosphere in the team is awesome, so I am just grateful for every game where I can play a role here."

Kagawa has scored eight goals in 21 league appearances this season and has been a great replacement for the injured Mario Gotze as Dortmund sit seven points clear of Bayern Munich at the top of the table.
