Keisuke Honda insists he is prepared to finally realise his boyhood dream of playing for AC Milan.
The Japanese playmaker will complete his transfer from Russian club CSKA Moscow to the Rossoneri on January 4 before making his debut at Sassuolo on January 12.
The transfer has taken a while to come together for the former VVV-Venlo ace but now that it is in sight, Honda can't wait to get started for the Italian giants.
"I have dreamed of playing at the San Siro. This is a team that I watched as a child," he said.
"At 27 years old it was time for me to play at a big club, to become an infinitely better player.
"The fans expect so much from me, and I will always give my best.
"I can perform all the roles in attack: winger, attacking midfielder or second striker. The coach (Massimiliano Allegri) will decide where I play."
