Vincent Janssen will bring plenty to the Tottenham Hotspur squad according to new teammate Christian Eriksen.
The Dutch striker joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar earlier this summer having made the jump from the Eerstedivisie with Almere City less than two years ago.
Former Ajax star Eriksen, who coincidentally stayed in Almere when he first moved to Holland, is confident that the 22-year-old striker will be a welcome addition to Mauricio Pochettino's playing group, as will powerful midfielder Victor Wanyama, who has joined Spurs from Southampton.
"He (Janssen) played in a town where I lived with a host family, funnily enough," Eriksen told reporters.
"It is a great signing.
"He and Victor will bring a bit of the same stuff we already have but also a bit different so we have something else to use.
"I think with both it will be very exciting to see what they can bring.
"They know it will be hard and they have learnt that already but it's about getting fit and doing a job really."
All three players will be in action when Tottenham take on Atletico Madrid in Melbourne in the final Australian International Champions Cup for 2016 on Friday night.
