Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat says they'll go to Sunderland on Sunday expecting to win.

Newcastle players have been a distinct second best in the last four derby affairs.

When asked if it compared to the clash between the Amsterdam and Rotterdam clubs, Janmaat told the Evening Chronicle: "It's very similar. Ajax-Feyenoord is a big game just like this and we have to win this game.

"It's not just big for the fans, it's big for us as well. We are going there to win."
