Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has signed a new long-term deal.
Oblak, 23, has committed to the end of the 2020-21 season after impressing in his first two seasons in Spain, having joined from Benfica in 2014.
"Extending my contract means the club believes in me. I'm very happy and grateful to everyone who's helped me and made my new contract possible, especially Miguel Ángel Gil Marín and my agent Miha Mlakar. I really like it here and am enjoying myself in the team. The coaching staff and club employees are great. That's why I've extended my contract and want to stay here," the 23-year-old, who has let in only 11 goals in 23 La Liga games this term, told the club's official website.
"It's not just my job, it's down to the whole team to play well, defend well and concede as few goals as possible. We work hard, always try to win and hope we'll reach our targets in the end."
