James Wilson has turned pro at Manchester United.
The promising attacker has been rewarded for his efforts as a first-year scholar after turning 17 last week, celebrating his birthday with a double strike against Southampton at Academy level.
The brace took the teenager's tally to 12 for the season and he has also been on the bench at Under-21 level, after making his Reserves bow last term.
Wilson is likely to lead the line in Friday night's FA Youth Cup tie against Burnley at Old Trafford. He has already scored a late winner at the Theatre of Dreams - in last season's competition against Charlton.
