Defender Shavar Thomas is training with the Seattle Sounders as he looks to play for his eighth MLS club.

The 32-year old Jamaican international is on a non-contract training stint with the Sounders but is hoping to do enough to win a contract to continue his time in North America's domestic league.

Thomas kicked off his career with FC Dallas (then Dallas Burn) back in 2003 and has since played for Sporting Kansas City, LA Galaxy, Chivas USA, Philadelphia Union, Sporting Kansas City and Montreal Impact. He made 15 league appearances for the Impact in 2012.
