Everton skipper Phil Jagielka has urged on-loan winger Aaron Lennon to turn his loan deal at Goodison Park into a permanent one.
Lennon, 28, has made a positive impression since arriving on loan from Tottenham in the winter, scoring twice in 13 appearances, and the Toffees are keen to land him on a less temporary basis at the end of the season.
Jagielka said: "He has been a massive, key component to why we've done so well these last couple of months.
"I'm sure if Spurs are looking to get rid, then the manager and the board will be looking to make that permanent.
"I was delighted when we got him in. His work rate is fantastic and he has nicked a couple of goals."
Lennon has one year remaining on his contract at White Hart Lane and Spurs reportedly want around £9million for his services.
