Everton manager David Moyes has suggested that Phil Jagielka is one of the top centre-halves in England.
The 29-year old helped keep a clean sheet in just his second start back from injury as the Toffees beat Swansea City 2-0 away from home on the weekend and his performance, following on from the 3-0 Merseyside derby loss to Liverpool, was commended by Moyes.
"He had an injury and we brought him back to start in a difficult game (the Liverpool loss) and he did well in that as well.
"On Saturday he showed why arguably he is one of the best centre-halves in England.
"He was immaculate in all the things he did and that is great because he is a top player.""I thought Jags was ever so good on Saturday," said Moyes ahead of tonight's FA Cup quarter-final replay with Sunderland.
