Everton defender Phil Jagielka is happy facing Tottenham for the opening game of the new season.
Since England international Jagielka arrived at Everton, the Toffees have lost just one of eight league encounters with Spurs.
And the defender said: "It is similar to last season with the first game being away from home but hopefully we will put in a better performance.
"We have a decent record at White Hart Lane but it will be a tough one first up. Hopefully we can get a better start than we did last season."
