Phil Jagielka says Everton won't be taking UEFA Cup opponents SK Brann lightly.
He said: "I am aware that their season ended in November and they don't start again until April, but we know they have been away in a warm-weather training camp.
"From our point of view, we could well see it as a game where we have the advantage of match-fitness, but they will have spent the last few weeks preparing just for this game. They will be up for it."
Brann only got to this stage by virtue of a third-place Group D finish behind Hamburg and Basle, and their one victory over Dinamo Zagreb has been enough for them to claim a tie with the Toffees.
In fact, only Zagreb's final-game draw with Rennes made certain of Brann's qualification.
Jagielka said: "They will be excited to have drawn a Premier League team and they will be ready for us. We just have to do a professional job.
"But all our European results have been good. We have a good confidence now in the squad when UEFA Cup ties come around. We believe we can come back to Goodison Park for the second leg with a worthwhile lead."
