Jagielka: Everton tired of being 'nearly men'

Everton captain Phil Jagielka admits they've had a problem making the most of their opportunities in recent seasons.

Everton have their chance to get amongst the top four with victory at Arsenal tonight.

"You can see why there is scope for people to say that," Jagielka acknowledged. "We didn't crack on last year in the semi-final; we probably had one of our worst performances against Wigan at home.

"You couldn't argue they were wrong because we haven't turned up in some big games. But that's the challenge. We know the job we need to do between now and the end of the season. We are not going to stop now."
