Jackson Martinez was shocked by his presentation as an Atletico Madrid player on Sunday.

Over 10,000 fans welcomed the former Porto striker to the Vincente Calderon.

"To be honest I've never experienced what I already have at Atleti at my other clubs. The welcome has been amazing.

"So many people have given me their support. I really didn't think so many people would show up last night at my official presentation last night. To see so many people at a simple and brief presentation is a massive motivation for me ahead of the season," Martinez told the club's website.

"It's not the same just simply training with your new club. It all changes when you're given your playing shirt with your own squad number. That's a great feeling and one feels so much more part of the team and the institution. I've started my cycle as an Atlético Madrid player."
