Jackson Martinez insists he's happy over his stunning move to Guangzhou Evergrande.

Atletico Madrid sold the Colombia striker to Guangzhou Evergrande for a mega €42 million.

The forward stated that it had been “an honor" top lay for Atleti but that the time had come for him to “embark on a news stage" of his career.

"It's been a privilege to be part of this club, but the time has come to move on to a new chapter in my sporting career.

"There has been many conversations over the past few days and it's felt that this is the best move in everyone's interests," added the 29 year old striker.
