Millwall defeated Doncaster 1-0 at home with an injury time winner in what was a poor game in difficult conditions. For boss Kenny Jackett the three points was everything even if the performance was less than impressive.

Jackett said: "I know how Doncaster feel because I felt it in the week at Norwich so I know it hurts.

"The first half was 50/50, I thought we dominated possession in the second half and I couldn't quite see where the breakthrough was coming but (it was) a good ball from (James) Henry into a good area.

"We had a lot of pressure on them without creating any clear-cut chances but it's a fantastic result and a good clean sheet, if not a great performance.

"I felt we had hold of the game in the second half but I wasn't quite sure where the breakthrough was coming.

"It was a big clean sheet because you can quite often open up and concede a couple and it can slip away from you so it was a good disciplined performance.

Jackett was also pleased Steve Morison had signed a new deal at the club.

"I think you always miss a player of Steve's ability and then you're looking at new partnerships as well and those partnerships are very important," he said.

"I'm very pleased Steve has signed a new deal and he's optimistic about his future here and what we are going to do.

"You always think your phone's going to ring and a Premier League club is going to come in but that is always the likelihood when you're doing well as a club."

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll felt a draw would have been a fair result.

O'Driscoll said: "I didn't think either side deserved to win it. Poor conditions, poor game, difficult pitch - one keeper kicks it straight to the other end sort of summed up the game, so it was disappointing.

"You can point to things we can do better but it's an unforgiving league and we've come with another patched-up side and we just wanted not to give them anything because if you go one down here, it is difficult to break them down.

"We've been shipping goals left, right and centre so to keep a clean sheet against Burnley and to restrict Millwall is obviously a positive and when you lose in the last minute, you need to find the positives.

"We missed James Hayter and James Coppinger today, especially away from home when we're trying to create stuff.

"We battled away and tried to play the percentages, which is unfortunate because it doesn't make for a good spectacle but we're in a league which is so demanding and you look at our bench and we only had six subs.

"We're never going to have the biggest squad but when you have four or five injuries to key people then it becomes difficult to manage, especially for us."
