Former Everton and Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell is leaving English football.
Rodwell is on his way out of Sunderland – with offers from the MLS, says the Mirror.
Sunderland are having a massive clear out – with a host of failed stars asking to leave.
The highest earners Rodwell, Bryan Oviedo and Lee Cattermole on their way out of the League One club.
Lamine Kone, Wahbi Khazri, Didier Ndong, and Papy Djilobodji all want to go.
Chairman Stewart Donald has revealed local lad George Honeyman, and academy product Joel Asoro, also sees their future elsewhere.
Donald does not want to spend to rebuild the side adding: “We won't be spending £2-3-4 million on players.
“We are in League One. We have put offers in but not crazy offers. A good wage in League One in £3-5,000 a week."
