Iwobi has to continue fighting for his place in Arsenal team - Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has implored youngster Alex Iwobi to keep pressing for his spot in the first team.

The 20-year-old made it three goals in two matches when scoring an equaliser for the Gunners in their eventual 3-2 win over Manchester Cityin Gothenburg on Sunday.

Iwobi has forced his way into Wenger's starting XI this summer and the French manager has urged the talented forward to continue taking his chance in what is a very competitive Arsenal squad.

"He fights for his place like everybody," Wenger told Arsenal Player.

"We have a strong but reasonable squad.

"We have to show that we are a united squad as well throughout the whole season and that will make a big difference because everyone will get the chance to play.

"At the moment it's Alex but maybe in October it will be someone else."
