Ivory Coast move to beat England to Palace youngster Zaha

Ivory Coast are moving to cap Crystal Palace whizkid Wilfried Zaha.

The Daily Mail says the 19-year-old was born in Ivory Coast but moved to England as a child and has represented England at Under-21 level.

However, the teenager - who is set to play for England U21 against Serbia on Tuesday night - is still eligible to play for the country of his birth because he has not played a senior competitive match for the Three Lions.

Zaha's excellent performances so far this season have forced Ivory Coast chiefs to accelerate their quest to nail down the youngster by making personal contact with the forward to sound him out over his international future.
