Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic could return in November for the Blues' match against Norwich according to recent reports.

Ivanovic suffered an injury during a European Championship qualifier with Serbia earlier this month that has seen him miss the Blues' last two matches.

Prior to the injury the Serbian defender had been part of Chelsea's disastrous start to the season and many felt that he was the main culprit for much of the Champion's woes.

Ivanovic has been replaced by Kurt Zouma in the side, but Chelsea's defeat at the weekend condemns them to their fifth loss of the season, with no sign of their form returning.

Ivanovic, who is out of contract with Chelsea at the end of the season, looks set to return for their encounter next month with Norwich, news that will be greeted with mixed emotions by the Stamford Bridge contingent who will worry that his return could spell further problems for their side.

Last season's champions lie in a woeful 15th position after their opening ten games.
