Chelsea can deliver a message to the league with victory over Manchester United on Sunday, says Branislav Ivanovic.
Chelsea will kick-off two points behind United and Ivanovic acknowledged it was important not to allow the champions to open up too big a gap at the summit.
"We can go also on the top after this game," he said, pointing out the victor would enjoy a huge boost.
"Psychologically for both teams, it's a very important game.
"Every tackle, every pass, everything, you feel directly how strong your opponent's performance is."
