Former Real Murcia striker Ivan Alonso is delighted with his move to Espanyol.

The Uruguay international has signed two and a half year contract with Espanyol and declared: "I hope to provide work, sacrifice and to do well for the shirt.

"Espanyol have a good team and are in a false position given the quality of players here."
