Italy U21 coach Luigi di Biagio has backed the move for B teams to be added to Serie C.

Serie A squads will be allowed to enter second teams into Serie C from next season, with the aim of giving young players more competitive experience.

“It has to be regulated well, but it could help enormously for the Under-21s," Di Biagio explained in his Press conference today.

“At 18 you need to be playing with the seniors already because otherwise, at the level of the national team or big clubs, you'll struggle."
