Italy U21 coach Di Biagio: Too many foreigners

Italy U21 coach Gigi Di Biagio says there's too many foreign players in local football.

Di Biagio is preparing for the 2016 Olympics.

"Over the last two years I had few choices in attack, but we're all sorted in defence with lads like Davide Zappacosta, Matteo Bianchetti, Cristian Biraghi and Daniele Rugani.

"Up front we've really only got Andrea Belotti and Marcello Trotta.

"Unfortunately, we are penalised by the sheer number of foreign players in our youth academies. Conte and I often ended up watching a game without a single Italian, asking ourselves what we were even doing there.

"We just have to accept it and work with the material we have."
