AC Milan are chasing Tottenham winger Gareth Bale.
The Mirror says Silvio Berlusconi has promised a summer of spending to turn his AC Milan side into Champions League winners - and Tottenham's Bale is on the Italians' hit list.
The Rossoneri, who were knocked out in the second round by Tottenham in March, need just a point from their final three Serie A games to reclaim the title.
Berlusconi, who owns the club and is also Italian PM, said signing Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi was impossible because "the Spanish game is rich and has different tax laws".
However, he insisted Milan will sign some of the biggest names in world football.
