Italy legend Rossi: Higuain will complement existing Juventus attack

Italy legend Paolo Rossi believes Gonzalo Higuain can complement the existing Juventus attack.

The striker shattered Serie A records stretching back to 1949-50, scoring 36 goals in 35 games for Napoli last season.

“He's very different to Mario Mandzukic, so something has to change in Juve's approach," said Rossi.

“Mandzukic is more generous, but not as effective with his finishing. It is an important resource for Max Allegri to have two such different forwards in the same squad.

“Higuain will score less at Juve, certainly, and will have to share the goals with Paulo Dybala, but I don't think it'll be that big a difference. He is at the height of his powers and will settle in quickly.

“Dybala is extraordinary and can play alongside anyone, so I'm sure he'll form a crazy partnership with Higuain. They can become one of the best strike partnerships in Bianconeri history."
