Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says he was satisfied with their point in Northern Ireland.
The Azzurri drew 0-0 in their Euro2012 qualifier.
"I am satisfied. It was a tough arena, we tried to win and passed the ball around well. We fought to the end, so I'm happy," said Prandelli.
"We knew it was a very fiery atmosphere and maintained a good balance for 90 minutes, but also kept a consistent search for the goal.
"We should've been a bit more precise in the final third, but overall I am happy."
AS Roma striker Marco Borriello was given the starting spot and wasted a good chance, as did replacement Giampaolo Pazzini.
"Borriello did well, he battled hard and gave depth to the side. What we must all learn from this game is that when you are in front of goal, you need to be more determined."
