Italy coach Cesare Prandelli was delighted with Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli in victory over Poland.
Balo struck his first goal for the Azzurri in the 2-0 win.
"This is worth a lot, as aside from the goal, he played a great game and was always in the thick of things," said Prandelli.
"Compliments to Mario and the whole team. It's important to maintain a certain balance and I think the lads approached the match well, keeping another clean sheet.
"Poland started strong and we struggled to find depth, but we persevered and created some very good chances."
