Italy coach Lippi names 29-player training camp

Italy coach Marcello Lippi has named a 29-player training camp to be held in Rome.

The Azzurri will meet today at Rome's La Borghesiana sports centre.

Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Grosso, Gianluca Zambrotta, Mauro Camoranesi, Alberto Gilardino and Vincenzo Iaquinta return after sitting out the friendly against Cameroon in March, which ended in a goalless draw.

Lippi will be without the services of Inter Milan and Roma players, who are involved in Wednesday's Coppa Italia final.

The Azzurri will play friendlies against Mexico on June 3 in Brussels and against Switzerland two days later in Geneva as they round off their World Cup preparations ahead of this summer's finals in South Africa.
