Italy coach Giampiero Ventura is excited by the potential of the nation's young players.

Atalanta have sold two players this week, sending Roberto Gagliardini to Inter Milan and Mattia Caldara to Juventus.

“This confirms what I have always said, which is that there are many more talented young players in Italy than people might think," Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.

“The problem is giving them an opportunity to show what they can do without too much pressure on their shoulders.

“I think we have every element needed to do something very good for the future. The future of Italian football is bright."
