Italy coach Cesare Prandelli was pleased with his debutants in victory over Northern Ireland.

Parma midfielder Sebastian Giovinco received his first senior Italy start, while AS Roma striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo had his debut.

"Giovinco did well and worked hard, while Osvaldo came on when the match was already coming to a close," said Prandelli.

"He will have other opportunities."
