Italy manager Marcello Lippi will not step into the vacant Liverpool role after the World Cup.
The 62-year old tactician has been linked with the Anfield job following Rafael Benitez's departure but recent reports suggest there is no way he will be installed as the top man at Liverpool.
Lippi does not speak English and apparently has no plans to learn hinting that his desire to manager in England is close to non-existent.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson remains at the top of the list for the Liverpool job.
