Italy and Greece draw as Lippi breaks record

Italy's 1-1 draw with Greece has given Italian boss Marcello Lippi a record 31 consecutive matches without a loss.

Lippi was pleased with the result and with the performance of several younger players.

"I am happy to have won the World Cup, but stringing together 31 games unbeaten wouldn't mean anything without something to show for it," Lippi said post-match.

"The important thing is that within this run is that we revamped and recreated the Azzurri squad, creating a team that is still growing."
