In response, Lippi said: “Is it normal for a Defence Minister to say these things? The truth is in Italy everything is normal nowadays…”

dunno what u saying about camoranesi he's having an amazing season
Sorry,i meant to say Zarate should NOT JUMP SHIP.Not switch nationality.
Gianpaolo,u are so on point!I luv u.Believe me,with Lippi's present attitude towards player selection,Italy's Euro 2008 performance will be adjudged better than South Africa 2010,because they will be beaten BLACK N BLUE!Tell u what,Cassano holds the key,not Totti, not Del Piero.Personaly,i want to see younger players in the team, like Santon,Geovinco,Rossi,Pazzini,Aquilani,Quagliarella. Its amazing how much young talent Italy has but dont utilize. If they stick to the old guns TOO MUCH,they will suffer.Italy dont realy play on the wings,so why not play Cassano behind 2 strikers(Gilardino,Pazzini,Iaquinta,or Inzaghi)and then go with 3 in the middle(MUST include Pirlo! He glues that midfield together). Then u have your normal leg-breakers at the back(Chiellini,Nesta,Grosso,Zambrotta). Its a fair XI.The Juve thing is a problem but nothin much can be done about it for now.If Totti wants out, then let him stay out! Finally,Zarate should stick to being Argentine. He'l make a good career with the likes of Messi n Aguero. He should NOT NOT NOT jump ship just cuz he's not taken to South Africa. There are many older n more influential midfielders in Argentina now,but am sure he'l get his chance.
