Italian football is split on Manchester United's pursuit of Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli.
United are locked in talks with Balotelli's agent about a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Former Inter player Mario Boni lambasted Balotelli last night over reports that he was late for Rafa Benitez's first training session as Inter coach.
"I hope he leaves Inter," blasted Boni. "He is 19 years old, there are important little things: you cannot introduce seven minutes late on the first day of the season. I'm sick, there must be respect for the hierarchy.
"I love the Inter shirt and I do want to see people act like that."
However, former Juventus chief scout Reno Castagnini countered: "I think Inter should focus on Balotelli. He's an extraordinary talent, he should aim to be the strongest striker of Inter. Maybe Benitez can do what Mourinho failed to ..."
