Manager Carlo Ancelotti is on borrowed time at Chelsea. The Daily Star says Ancelotti will leave Chelsea and return to Italy in the summer.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich has decided to let Ancelotti remain in charge until the end of the season, even if they crash out of the Champions League.
"If they lose he will stay but he will go home in the summer," revealed an Italian source involved in bringing the 51-year-old to Stamford Bridge. Ancelotti is likely to be compensated by Abramovich for the remaining year left on his contract.
Despite Chelsea's shocking season, Ancelotti knows he will still walk into a top job back in his homeland, such is the esteem he is held in Italy.
Real Madrid could also be a possibility if former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho opts to return to the Premier League next season.
