A fuming Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho stormed into Manchester City's raucous locker room after yesterday's 2-1 defeat.
The Sun says Mourinho was at the centre of a 20-man tunnel melee after City outplayed United to move 11 points clear – with the United boss allegedly being hit on the head with water and milk.
Mourinho barged into the City dressing room to confront Pep Guardiola's players over their “raucous" celebrations following the 2-1 derby victory.
The Old Trafford boss, and striker Romelu Lukaku, accused City of provocation with the victory songs being sung as the dressing room blasted out loud music.
Mourinho is understood to have accused City keeper Ederson of lacking “respect" as the angry words escalated into a bout of pushing and shoving that saw stewards and the police getting involved.
There were even claims that milk, water and a bottle were thrown at Mourinho at the height of the ruck, although those were being downplayed last night.
But one eye witness declared: “People couldn't believe what they were seeing.
“It was going crazy for a few seconds, with loads of screaming and shouting. It looked like it might get completely out of control."
However, City sources insist their staff did nothing wrong.
They say they were merely provoked by Mourinho's anger and aggression after the game.
