It's not the management's fault, we have been too lazy - LA Galaxy's Beckham

LA Galaxy star David Beckham believes the teams subpar beginning to the MLS season can be attributed to the playing group being too lazy in the off-season.

The reigning MLS champions won just three of their first 13 league matches this campaign before saluting in their past three fixtures and Beckham feels that under-performance came from enjoying the finer things in life in the wake of winning the title and not due to problems with the management.

"I don't know," Beckham said. "Maybe we got too lazy.

"We ate too much in the offseason. LA weather and the beach….

"But we weren't focused as a team. It had nothing to do with the management. The management is great and the staff we have is great."
