IT JUST AIN’T HAPPENING: QPR defender Konchesky vents frustrations after late equaliser

Veteran English defender Paul Konchesky has played Premier League football for Charlton, Liverpool, Tottenham, West Ham and Leicester City, but has endured a mixed start at loan club QPR.

The 34-year-old was told by new Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri over the summer that he did not feature in his plans for the season ahead, and a loan move to Loftus Road eventuated.

Konchesky played 90 minutes in defence as the R's surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Cardiff City on Saturday.

The former England man struggled at times to deal with the speedy Craig Noone, and was lucky not to be carded after a dangerous tackle on Lee Peltier in the first half.

QPR fans took to social media after the game to slam the veteran's performance at the back:

Even Leicester fans seemed glad to be rid of the left-back:

With Armand Traore's impending return from a knee injury, it will be interesting to see whether R's manager Chris Ramsey opts to stick with Konchesky in the next few weeks. Konchesky is on loan at QPR until the end of the season.
