Ricardo Carvalho believes Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is the perfect footballer.
The veteran Monaco defender is preparing to suit up alongside Ronaldo in Portugal's friendly with Argentina at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and spoke highly of the man that is being tipped to win this year's Ballon d'Or award.
Former Chelsea centre-back Carvalho suggests that Ronaldo is a better player than Barcelona and Argentina ace Lionel Messi, highlighting his willingness to win as a key factor to his success.
"When you see him, he's almost perfect," he said. "He's so strong and good in the air and never wants to stop winning - it's difficult to say what he is missing.
"We are so proud of him. He's been doing a great job during these past six years, he's improving all the small details.
"He wants more and more. Maybe next year he can break his own records. He is looking to always improve.
"Everyone [in Portugal] is expecting him to win the Ballon d'Or again. He is the best."
