Republic of Ireland scout Don Givens has confirmed interest in Aston Villa's England youth defender Ciaran Clark.
Givens was at Villa Park to watch Clark perform well in last Wednesday's Carling Cup victory over Blackburn having seen him play for Villa's second string.
"He's one of the people who qualify for Ireland," Givens told the Birmingham Mail.
"I went to the game to watch him on Wednesday and I've seen him in a few games for the reserves. I'm not quite sure how he will decide but he definitely qualifies for us."
