Iran coach Ali Daei is almost certain his side will defeat Saudi Arabia in Saturday's World Cup qualifier.

Team Melli currently sit third in their group on six points whilst Saudi Arabia are on four points and desperately need a win in Tehran.

But former playing great Daei doesn't believe that can happen.

"Iran is better than Saudi Arabia in terms of technical points and players and will defeat its opponent with the support of 100,000 Iranian fans in Tehran," Daei told reporters after a training session.

"The Iranian outfit has recently had a good training camp in Kuwait and the friendly match against the host helped Iran fully prepare for the Saudi Arabia match."
