Ipswich Town sack Roy Keane

English Championship club Ipswich Town have sacked manager Roy Keane.

The former Manchester United captain had the Tractor Boys sitting 19th on the table and had recorded just one win in their last nine outings, prompting club officials to end their tumultuous tenure with Keane.

It is one of the worst runs in Ipswich's history, giving chairman and owner Marcus Evans no choice but to get rid of Keane with six months remaining of a two-year contract.
