Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell is seeking a loan deal for Aston Villa defender Shane Lowry.
The Mirror says Jewell is trying to sign the 22-year-old Australia international on loan after watching his side leak a dozen goals in just two games.
Lowry, who had a spell at Sheffield United last season, is available and the Tractor Boys were making a final check in a reserve game on Monday night before trying to tie up the move on Tuesday.
