Ipswich to remain patient in pursuit of Leicester's St Ledger

Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell knows he may have to wait before he can bring Sean St Ledger to the club.

The Tractor Boys manager is determined to bring the Republic of Ireland international to Portman Road from Leicester City but he is aware that the Foxes may still require his services for a while longer.

"Leicester have got an FA Cup replay against Forest and they want to keep him for that," he said.

"Everything was agreed and I don't know whether they've had any injuries in training or something, I don't know.

"We have got other irons in the fire but that was one we thought was going to happen, but it hasn't.

"We'll have to wait and see, we think Sean's a good player but if they beat Nottingham Forest they might want him for the next round. I'll have to speak to Nigel Pearson."
