The former Sunderland prospect has caught the eye of top-flight scouts at Portman Road this season.
The Express & Star says Wolves may not be finished in the transfer market yet - they could also rival West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic for Leadbitter.
Ipswich rate the midfielder in the £2 million class.
