Ipswich boss Keane prepared to accept sack

Manchester United legend Roy Keane accepts he could be sacked by winless Ipswich Town.

"Like my players I am doing my best," Keane told the Daily Mail. "If it's not good enough so be it. I'll be the one losing my job. The bottom line is that if results don't change I'm sure there will be changes.

"Since I've been in football I've always brought something to the clubs I've been involved with, but I've not brought anything to Ipswich."

And the former Sunderland boss refused to criticise fans who booed his side after their 4-0 thumping by Newcastle at Portman Road on Saturday, leaving them on four points and sitting above only Plymouth in the table.

"That's life and we'll just have to deal with it. If I was a supporter, looking at our results, I would be booing me.

"It's part and parcel of the game. I've been booed before when I played for Ireland.

"We know there is frustration building up but I live in the real world."
