Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane has confirmed he hopes to sign Sunderland pair Daryl Murphy and Jack Colback.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is reluctant to lose Colback, however.
Keane said: "We will see what happens. I had a chat with Brucie on Saturday morning about them.
"We will have a look at it over the next few weeks and I know he will be very keen to get his lads back, (Daryl) Murphy and (Jack) Colback have done very, very well.
"We will not be able to do anything with Jack I don't think because he is such a promising player but I'll talk to Steve.
"A lot of this stuff won't be done until later in the summer, I don't think - Brucie will probably want to take them back to take a look at them. It will be the same with Waggy (Martyn Waghorn) and other people like that.
"We had David Healy as well, he picked up an injury and that obviously did not help him. All of those players will have good options in the summer. Murphs has scored six goals for us in the short time he has been here and that will create awareness from other clubs."
