Ipswich boss Jewell pleased to snap up Man City defender Wabara

Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell is delighted with their signing of Manchester City defender Reece Wabara.

The 19-year-old should be included in manager Paul Jewell's squad for the match against Brighton on Saturday.

"We're pleased to have Reece here," Jewell told the club's website.

"He's quick and strong and although he can play in the middle of the defence, I see him here as a right-back and someone who can give competition to Carlos Edwards in that position.

"I spoke to David Platt [City coach] about him at length and they think he will be good enough for their team eventually."
